Free

Free, and specificabout what that means

No card and no exchange key. Not a trial that expires, and not a demo with the interesting parts greyed out — the screener, the backtester and the risk gate are the same ones a paying account uses.

Why the limits are where they are

The ladder is data and compute, not features

What this platform is actually billed for is history, market data and model calls. So that is what the tiers ration: how far back a backtest can reach, how often a screen runs, how many strategy searches you get. Locking a feature behind a tier would be an invented scarcity — the screener costs the same to run whoever runs it.

It is not bring-your-own-key, deliberately

Almost every free AI-trading tier asks you to create an account at a model provider first. That is a funnel with no entrance: obtaining an API key is a step most people never take, and a product that opens with it is built for engineers whether or not it means to be. Model calls on the free tier are ours. Bringing your own key is a paid-tier option, for people who want their own quota.

The assistant costs real money per question

A single grounded analysis of one candidate — screening, indicators, a verdict — costs a few cents in model calls, measured rather than estimated. That is why turns are budgeted per account rather than unlimited: an unmetered assistant is a tier that ends abruptly and without warning, which is worse than one with a number on it.

What free does not include, plainly

Live trading. Not because of a paywall — a live venue needs your own exchange credential and a deliberate promotion, and neither of those is something a free tier should hand out. The paper path is the whole product minus the exchange.

Questions about the free tier

Does it expire?

No. It is a tier, not a trial. Nothing switches off after fourteen days.

Do I need a credit card to start?

No. Sign in and you have a paper account with a balance.

Do I need an OpenAI or Anthropic key?

No — that is the reversal above. Bringing your own key is an option on the paid tiers, not a requirement anywhere.

Is my paper activity visible to anyone else?

No. Your account, your fills, your positions and your conversations are yours, and the platform refuses a request for an account it cannot confirm is yours.

What happens if I lose all the paper money?

You keep the account and the record. The balance is not topped up on the next sign-in, because the run that blew up is the one worth reading.

Take the free tier at its word

Open the console, run a screen, take a paper trade, read what the risk gate said about it.
